Volunteering

Opportunities for Volunteers!

Do you have a little time to spare each week or a talent you could share on occasion? If you are looking for a rewarding experience, we have plenty of opportunities for any parents/carers who wish to become more involved with the school. We are always on the lookout for volunteers to help with many different activities, for example:

  • Reading with children

  • Assisting on school trips and educational visits

  • Supporting curriculum topics such as fashion, newspaper writing or RE festivals

  • Helping with school events such as the Summer or Christmas Fair

  • Running an after school club

  • Sharing stories

  • Drama workshops

  • Sporting activities

  • Art workshops

  • Music/singing

  • Gardening

  • Cooking demonstrations

  • Handyman support

Any help or skills you are able to offer would be greatly appreciated. Please note, it is a requirement of every school that all volunteers have relevant safeguarding checks and are able to provide referees where applicable. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Mrs. Friday in the school office about the support that you can offer and the days you are available. gfriday@charltonmanor.greenwich.sch.uk or call 020 8856 6525.

At the Heart of the Community

We are keen for our pupils to undertake community projects and always like to get involved in local regeneration activities that will help the children develop their environmental awareness whilst also using their leadership, creative, artistic and writing skills. Please do let us know if you have any projects in mind via; admin@charltonmanor.greenwich.sch.uk or call 020 8856 6525.

We want the school to be at the heart of the community – with the school becoming a resource that can be used all year for community events, sports activities and family learning classes. The school halls and facilities are available for hire.

We look forward to hearing from you.
